Hello everyone i just want to share my experiences with Santrex. At first when i started off the service was bad, server was down allot, i was on the France server. I told them then i switched to China server, this server was not down but very slow and high load usually 3.89 sometimes 5.28, then i switched to the new Netherlands server and finally they got it right. It has been working perfect with no problems. Speed is great uptime is great as well. The load now is average 1.30. The support was quite bad it would take 2 days to receive a reply. A few months latter i asked to downgrade my account and they said no. When i asked to upgrade they said sure, this was strange. The last thing was when i delayed to pay my invoice and after 2 days they terminated. I think that was very unfair. The Santrex support seems to have improved allot and so have there server quality. There were at times bad service and some miss understandings in the past but now they have improved thanks to all who told them. Now the support ticket reply is 2-8 hours a very big improvement. One thing i have realized is after the support ticket is answered it is then set as closed, last time i checked it should be set to Answered. I think this should be fixed. Well done to improving so much. These are my experiences with Santrex, I recommend joining Santrex as there service is very good now. Most negative reviews or feedback you will hear is probably old and not current. If you would like a dedicated ip they are very expensive $5 extra. So what will happen if your a reseller go sell them at $7 for each client. That's how much the hosting costs it's self. The last thing i must say is that Santrex brand the hosting way too much. This is not good for resellers. When you go to login via the ip it will redirect to (servername).santrex.net this is very bad. Also when you got to the main server page, ip, which says Apache with cPanel is installed at the tittle it says (Santrex). If you traceroute the ip or enter it in whatismyipaddress.com like many customers may do, it will say (servername)santrex.net. The last thing is If you are a master reseller and are offering reseller they will see in the WHM server information page (servername).santrex.net and will be questioning you or just leave and go with Santrex directly. Most hosts that i have been with actually get rid if the server information page as there is no need to keep it. Changing the above would be great as i have never seen a host that brands there server so much. If you are not a alpha/master/reseller the above won't be a problem. Apart from that they proivde affordable hosting great support and service. So this is my experience with Santrex. They will not disappoint. It totally depends on who is actually helping you out in santrex - for example, calling them is the best way in my opinion - thus making them get to your ticket quicker ... Not all hosts are angels ... but some are better then others. Just my 2 cents
We are in the progress of going through all the web hosting servers and suspending all abusive users breaking our TOS (For example: Rapidleech users) Then, everything should be improved. We are not overselling, we just have some abusive users that need to be suspended. MrSaints - You are not even our customer, you have an account through a reseller of us.
Guys don't buy from santrex, I am facing too much problem!! - Really bad support, MY Tickets are answered after 24 hours or more :S , and when they reply the VPS, the said that everything is working well, there is no downtime! ( OMG! So i am a liar ??? I don't know when a server is up or down ?? Come on!! ) - 98% Downtime! Yeah! Since i bought a VPS for my Classifieds website, my site has been down everyday! and when it was UP ! and was down a few hours later! - Lot of High load on the server! Even i have only 1 site ( classifieds Website ) Host on the VPS - If you need help! Like to install cpanel or a script, they will ask you to pay $15 as fee in order to do it! Wow! - No Money Back!! Definitively i will not renew my packages at the end of the month!! I can't afford to pay lot of money for a VPS which has 98% Downtime!! So Friends! You will make a HUGE MISTAKE if you buy any packages from Santrex ( VPS in France = Horrible Downtime ) ( Germany Server = Very Often their server got crashed ) Just check their Network Issue ( Around 113 Cases has been recorded ) 1 Case = 1 Downtime or problems!! Now imagine 113 in within 6 months Anyway! Don't waste your money guys! I am just posting the problems which i faced with Santrex!
I do have a NL virtual account. A few downtimes. So I am reluctant to rely more on Santrex. Anyway I did a speed test (from Europe) of a FLV video through a FLV player on 1 webpage. Here are the results : - Santrex: super good - Justhost: super good - Hostgator: very good - Phatservers: good - Midphase: slow (the video sometimes stops due to the low load speed)
Again webistes down now! I DO NOT RECOMMEND SANTREX ANYMORE Any reliable alternative (offshore hosting)?
Hello, Our NL hosting/VPS haven't been down lately, if you've been banned for hammering the FTP server and website with as many connections then open a ticket with your REAL home/work IP so we can add you to our whitelist otherwise we can investigate the issue further. Thank you.
This was not the problem. Sites hosted on the NL shared server are just basic sites. Not even a single wordpress blog! And if they were down it is just because of issues @ santrex network. But everything is working perfectly for a couple of days indeed. Yessss ! Hope it will continue
Just too sad that Santrex do overselling Their Server Overload are too high, and their are too many downtime Fortunately i am no more a client from Santrex
