hello guys this is my first post here, so if i am posting in wrong section then i apologize you can move it. My site is 5 months old, i got high traffic from google in 4th month my links were indexing very fairly. My traffic usually appeared in top 20 and that was good for a new website. In the 5th month i have got no traffic and i have been posting on it. My content is not copied from anywhere. I'm getting very good traffic from facebook tho like 300-400 page views daily BUT no google. I was just wondering am sandboxed or what? suddenly. I am not a professional or anything, i have least knowledge in coding but can modify codes. Another thing i wanted to mention that, my Sitemap that i have attached with webmaster tools has 20 URLS only but My website has 37 URLS in total. It doesn't get update when a new post is published.I'm using wordpress and its users say wordpress doesn't need to submit sitemap in google and i think the same, does it make sense i am getting no traffic coz my sitemap is not getting processed correctly by google? Please help me how can i get out of this situation your help would be greatly appreciated.
It is hard to say without being able to review the site. You DO need a sitemap. If somebody told you that you shouldn't than I would not take any more advice from that person. The sitemap might only show 20 URL's because of the settings. In the 37 pages you mention, are any of those category pages? because you don't want them in your sitemap (in most cases). What are you using to create your sitemap?
Hey thanks for quick reply, oh okay one point is clear that sitemap matters. shall I write my URL here? I mean is it okay with forum rules? I have 33 posts and 4 pages in my Wordpress. I am using SEO plugin by Yoast and it automatically creates sitemaps but their created sitemaps don't appear in webmaster tools google give me pending status ..its been 2 days so i deleted my sitemap.xml that had 20 posts and installed another plug in to generate the sitemap.xml again. Now google shows i have 36 URLS submitted but no one is indexed there is "-" in status.
Yes you are aloud to post your site but I suggest sending it in a message. I use 'Google XML sitemap' plugin, if you go to 'add new plugins' and select 'most popular' it will be towards the top of the list. If you just resubmitted a new sitemap it could take up to 24-48 hours for it to update and show how many of them are indexed. It will probably get up to about 35 quick and may take a few days to get all 37 indexed, thats if they are not indexed already.
Oh okay , i just inboxed you my URL. Please read it, i just submitted my two sitemaps. One is created by my SEO plugin by yoast. That sitemap has 3 sub sitemaps urls for post, pages and category. I submitted it 3 days ago today's result is google has indexed my 37 URLS and 5 URLS of images out of 50. I'm considering your idea of 24-48 hours and will wait more. Now the question is it okay to use two sitemap plug ins and to submit it to Google?
