I'm trying a bunch of different tactics on different sites to see which works. So far, my best bet is with a site where I do almost no backlink building. Right I am adding 2 or 3 a week. When it gets a month old I will kick up to 10, then when it is a few months old I will get a ton. My sig link is the one I am talking about.

Anybody really got sandboxed for backlinks? Because if that's the case, let's all run out and spend $300 on lots of crappy backlinks to our competitors! :)
I think the worst google will do is just not give you credit for all those crappy backlinks, if they are added in a short space of time and obviously unnatural. Because otherwise, people could use this as a tactic to keep new competitor sites out of the market.
If you got sandboxed while this was going on, I would check all other possible reasons first. But who knows, I suppose it is possible, especially with a brand-new site.

Yes, if you make quickly too many links for site then google will penalize your site and send your site into sandbox. So do work slow and continuously for better result.

    Thanks

With that logic, if i create lot's of links to a competitors site they will be penalized, surely that's not true?
