My blog, was indexed in Google (only the homepage) after a couple of days after I started blogging. But after a week or so, my site disappeared from the Google index. How can I know if my site is sandboxed? Or is it banned  ?

If it is that new, probably just need more links to keep your site indexed. Most likely not banned unless you bought a domain where you were unaware of any penalties.

    What's the url?

Will PM you the URL. I'm scared that it is banned because I did a bad thing... I copy-pasted 2 posts :(
    Man, I wish I hadn't done that!! :(

Well you shouldn't do that - not really fair to the person who created the content. And it will probably evidently trigger a duplicate content trigger in Google.

In any case, I checked your url and Google does have a cache of the index page for your blog.

My suggestion - write your own stuff and work on getting links to your blog.

Try just "<my domain here>" with the quotes included. The site: query is unreliable.

Oh! Thanks for that! But which (country's) Google server's IP is 64.233.179.104? Because, when I try the same query with google.com, it displays no results:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=site:nithanth.com&hl=en

By the way, for everyone else, the site is nithanth.com.

I'll remove the duplicate content right now!
