We launched a new test site 11 days ago, on a brand new domain. The real estate search term was placed only on a link page. The search term has 285,000 allinanchor competition. The page has no backlinks. The site only has 3 backlinks Today the search term is No.7 in G. Anyone know how we did it ?
wow... that's REALLY incredible! is it a high PR old domain? does it have a lot of indexed pages previously? It cld be because of its high PR, that spiders are quite active in the domain. Also, 285k keyword competition is not that intense, so it may not be that difficult to get to the front with some good marketing. However, achieving that in 11 days is quite remarkable i must say You must share your secrets....
This is called "the new site boost". When you register a new domain and launch a site, Google will rank you higher than they normaly would. After a while, when you get out of this "boost" you might end up in the sandbox, and then you won't rank for anything. Maybe not even your own unique site name. It's perfectly normal, even tought it haven't been comfirmed by Google (It has happened to 5/5 of the latest sites I've launched), and you've not been sandboxed. The sandbox might come after the boost, so watch out :]
If your site url contains most of the keywords you are trying to rank well for its not unusual to get very good ranking as soon as the sites first indexed, you may find like someone has already commented on that the sites SERP's may well drop, personally i have launched 15 sites in the last 3 - 6 months and as long as i have done some steady link building for them NONE of them have been sandboxed.
I agree with Cypherus! Lets wait and see 2-3 weeks later if you can maintain that rank... Good for you if you did it!
People listen carefully .. and don't distribute that too much ... The new Google algorithm modifications from end of last month rank fresh content on top of everything else for some short period and if the link growth of this site is constant for longer periods, but the rule is that the content on the site has to be updated almost every day .. i've noticed that one couple of sites that I own and few of my clients ... works well on niches that are not really "news" type of thing .. you know ... Check it out for yourselves ... I accept reps for sharing secrets Cheers, Venetsian
That is allinanchor. We reckon that allinanchor of 50k and competition in SERPS of 10 million, is not an easy search term. Of interest, allinanchor:san diego real estate is only 128k, and we have just turned down a $60,000 offer to SEO that as we already have far too many clients, not having taken on any new clients for the last 12 months. Are there no PhD's in math. out there, studying the G algo, who can work out how we did it ?
We hit a page 1 on an Allinanchor of 6.3 Million on a heavily backlinked domain, and about 6 weeks ago i hit #3 for an Allinanchor: 750k on a page with no backlinks, and the primary domain 8 weeks in to development. It's not too difficult when you start exploiting the QDF algo factors, but the true SEO test is not just keeping it there but improving even more.
