We hear so many negative discussions surrounding the 'Google Sandbox' theory that I thought it would be a good idea to start a positive thread. Can you remember the first time that your site was released from the Sandbox? What was your reaction and how much did it effect your rankings? It may give hope to those still stuck in it (i.e. yours truly)
I almost jumped out of my pants. I was #551 on Feb.01 and #1 (and #2) on Feb.02. It was truly amazing. I thought it couldn't last, but it has lasted and I feel like maybe, just maybe, my little company can become a big success in a year or two.
3 sites out of the sandbox all created july august one for a term that gets over 250,000 searches a month
Woah mamma! By the way guys I have an SEO forum that is almost 3 months old and is currently ranked about between #110 - #120 in Google for the phrase 'seo forum' At its current standings do you think that once it breaks out of the SandBox that there is a good chance that it will rank high?
Thanks for starting this thread. I have 2 sites that have been sandboxed for about 7-8 months and needed to hear that. Hope the good stories keep coming.
After way too much work and not enough sleep for quite some time, at the start of the year...my traffic went from a dribble to a crawl. Then by early Feb...my steps became a little more confident. Defintely nice from a personal perspective, but time will tell whether it was worth the effort. I am pretty sure it was.
This past weekend most of my major KW phrases for one site were mired 15-20 pages deep into the serps. Monday morning I awoke to find 80% of them at #1 - still holding strong too. The remaining few are now #2-#5. Traffic and Adsense revenue has doubled and still rising. I still have phrases emerging from nowhere into the top 10. Talk about smiling ear to ear...man, my face hurts! Now onward to slay Yahoo! ...for the hat trick.
