I want to know is that are entire sites sandboxed, or does it work down to independant pages?

new websites are put into a “sandbox” or a holding area and have their search ratings on hold until they can prove worthy of ranking.

The site itself is sandboxed, as for pages if you're out of the sandbox they still might not be indexed at all for various reasons such as lack of importance, not enough content etc...but a sandbox will occur for the domain itself.

being on a sandbox doesn't all mean that you are penalized..new sites are all there for further listing.. but if your site got penalized, the entire site will be put on sandbox..

can be the period of time a new site takes before earning trust in Google’s eyes, during this period Google does not index the site in it’s SERP’s.
A new website that has just been launched will be hard to find straight away, although if the site is built to be accessible with clean code it will be indexed in a few weeks,

Yes. And to make sure Google 'likes' your site, I recommend not putting any affiliate links on it until it is indexed and ranked.

I think the whole site. Sandboxing a single page wouldn't be much use would it?
