I wouldn't say that the top 300 was out of the sandbox, you would have to have the site quite badly optimised for your generic ranking without any penaltys to be near the 300 mark.

If you show up in the first couple of pages for allinanchor but your actualy SERPS is #263....... you are still boxing it. ;)

Is this the "am I in the sandbox?" check? as I rank top 15 for allinanchor, but for a normal query I end up at 300-400. Wow, then my site is sandboxed! at least for 1 keyword. Getting serious traffic from Google for other keywords btw.

If you are targeting "teen advice" then my advice (if you want to hear it) is atleast put it in your content and title. That keyword has some competition for it so you will need it in those places. :)

im not targetting that word as a main keyword and i would say im outta the sandbox because top 300 compared to no where to be seen (like it has been 4 9 months) is good for me

I had that happen. Back in Feb. our health site came out for about three weeks then I decided I needed more links..... back to the box for a month or so.
