Just keep working on site and adding new content. I would stop trying to get more links until google lists site.

What do you mean by sandbox?

You may have issues with paid links.

I too believe the sandbox exists for new sites that have few or poor quality backlinks.

Start submitting to article/web directories, post on topic in blogs, bookmark, etc., and it should get you on your way. As grg noted, buying links may not help you at all since G is trying to stop that practice.

If we knew the domain, maybe we could look at it a little closer for you.

I don't beleive that the 'sandbox' is the problem. A site with paid links and 1.5 years must have another issue.

The sandbox could possibly mean the desert, as in deployed military? Maybe not? Just thinking that because I am deployed right now!

Hey prometheus... you seems an SEO to me and the site is of any of your client...I think!...Any case.... In such situation start acquiring QUALITY links for your website - no buying of links, no exchanging links with sites not related to your topic, but links from the authority websites in your niche. The best way to do this is to create GREAT content that the big boys in your area would not hesitate to link to you..- Make sure the site strictly follows white hat search engine optimization techniques -- no black hat techniques such as keyword stuffing, doorway pages, etc..and your train will be on the track...

Content is king. Keep writing solid new materials and eventually you will get indexed. If everything you are describing is accurate than you should have a nice update once introduced into the index and reap the results of your hard work. If nothing else you have not come to rely on Google traffic early on in the first year of your site which has taught a valuable lesson - look elsewhere for majority of your traffic. Google will then be gravy.

I agree and pleasantly referred to it:

"As grg noted, buying links may not help you at all since G is trying to stop that practice."

The pr0 is probably the greatest indicator that G discovered those links as being paid and is spanking him for it.

    @ prometheus

Why don't you give us your domain so we can have a look and be more precise with our responses?
