    Hi

If I buy a domain thats 6 months + old but it hasn't had a website at all during that period if I start a new website with it will it get sandboxed by Google? Or is it only new domains that get sandboxed and whether it has a site or not doesn't matter?

It would get sandboxed... just as if it were a new site.

Would this happen if a 'WhoisGuard' run out or was renewed on a domain at namecheap and the whois details changed to reflect it.

    Anyone have experience of that?

Huh? Dont understand you buddy. If your renewing a domain name, you've had the site active for at least a year anyway, so it should be well on the way to being unsandboxed...

I think the 'sandbox' is more complicated than a simple age filter. I believe it applies to incoming links, page age, the terms your targetting, domain age, and more. I think most likely it applies to the overall theme of the site, but that's just speculation really.

    Thanks

So what if it was a domain And a site but I changed the design and deleted the old pages and did new pages?

If it was an established site with many incoming links, I shouldn't see why you would get resandboxed again.
