I am working on a new site and am keeping it offline for now because i still dont have Seo and all that good stuff and was wondering if my site is being recognized even though it is offline?
no its a joomla site... stored on server and i just made the status of it offline. U can access my site however all it is, is a construction banner.
If you have any backlinks. If you have no backlinks and never submitted your site, then Google won't find out about you.
wrong wrong wrong As long as it is on the server the search spiders can see the site. Search spiders are run over servers, they pick up webpages they find, and happen to crawl the links on the pages. You do not need a link to your site a banner or whatever else is posted.
so this means my web site is starting to age? even though its offline... i dont want to show it to engines yet because i dont even got SEO installed yet im new to web development and joomla is really taking its toll on me the learning curve is rediculous
There is no need to wait and actually you are probably best bringing it online because the humans have to get to the site. Part of the SEO scoring is the amount of human traffic to a website.
say i put it online, and then i make some drastic changes.... will that affect my site? say i move a post from one catagory to another what will happen?
