We all have heard a lot about Sandbox, but many people are not sure how long it lasts. On WMW, many senior members even said, that sandbox word came on its own with some people calling it a delay effect. So can we say, if there is something like Sandbox in real of not. Even there is nothing official about it from Google. Had it been something really important, Google would have said something about it somewhere. But they are mute on it, or maybe i haven't been able to find any information about it. And can anyone tell me, who used the word Sandbox First Time i think, there is nothing sure about this sandbox in mind of even bigger SE Experts
Not this topic again, use the search on the forums. Tons of threads about the sandbox, countless amount of threads/theories
It is a knickname for a series of algo filters. Google doesn't disclose their Algo so the fact that they don't acknowledge something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. As city2 said, there is a ton of information on all the forums
i have read a lot about it, but no one is sure how long it lasts, and i don't know what factors they count, a few sites skip it and a few get stuck.
I would then post all the evidence that shows this as a lot of people would be interested in a case study like that
I tested out on 2 of my sites. Left them alone for about 8 months and didnt do anything. absolutely nothing at all! then all of sudden, 8 months later, both of them has good traffic. and good rankings. is that considered good evidence?
6-9 months seems to be around about the time most sites escape the sandbox. I'm of the belief it largely depends on how regularly Google does their major updates as their is a tendency for alot of sites to break out on large updates.
No, if they had good ranking from Month 1 onwards on competetive keywords, then we would want more details
good point made too. what you said, may possibly be the way how it works if we wanna get accurate test done and see how many PR updates it take, it will take a few christmas .Lol. btw, both my sites had 2 pr updates
so, we should bring our old domains into more work now and register new ones and forget abt them till they become old
As far as you all know, if a domain has been sandboxed, I know the SER drops back or into cyberspace, but does the indexing stop during this period also ? My main site(s) havent had a spider from google in over a month, and I update some pages daily. They used to be spidered a few times a month. and my pr or indexing hasnt changed on google in 40+ days now.
The pages will still be indexed and PR will also change. Why your pages are not indexed, could be cause u might not have many links pointing to your website. get links to internal pages as well.
