This is really your response to statement of fact and logic? A personal insult? Try again. Show me how the US is bankrupt. Use facts: Average individual income GDP Quality of life Ability to repay the debt Credit Rating Use logic: Show me how our boycotts have no effect because we have no money Show me how threat of withdrawl of our foreign aid does not concern nations Present a scenario where the US goes bankrupt, there is no world war, and some other nation of any population fares better. Or, if all you have are groundless insults and idiotic anti-american stereotypes, let me say for the record that you are a poopy pants, doo-doo head. You see, I can compete on your level too!
Last I checked your government was in debt for over $15 trillion. It even has to take new loans to make the payments for past loans. Pathetic. Then you have most households in debt until they die taking life insurance so their loved ones don't have to take the burden of their loans, a credit rating that was downgraded, over 9% unemployment, etc. No one is comparing United States to Iran or to other third world countries. What I said was simply United States used to be great and perhaps the best there was. Its not anymore. You are in denial about your debt, about the fact that you've been losing most of your wars (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq) post WWII and you still want to wage another one (not even for yourself but on behalf of Israel).
I think we are getting to the heart of your problem. You don't understand the definition of the word "Bankrupt". Perhaps you could look it up? Fine. Who would you like to compare us to? Let me help you out by bundling a bunch of first world nations together into something called "the Eurozone" and lets compare that. Do you have any meaningful statistics at the ready? I certainly do. Lets start with net change in GDP over the last year. How about strength of the currency. Take your pick. Actually, what you said was the US is bankrupt, but I'd be more than happy to debate the "greatness" of the US with you as well. LMAO. OK you are officially unhinged. Last time I checked, all US troops are out of Iraq, and there is no trace of Saddam Hussein remaining in the country, and you have sack to talk about living in denial?
What's interesting is that Americans don't care the slightest bit about the laws that allow American government spy on, detain, imprison, and even kill any American Citizen without trial merely on the suspicion that they might be a terrorist. Once you have such laws in place, all it takes is one crazy president (Newt Gingrich, Bachmann, or Santorum) to abuse it and slowly turn away from democracy.
Unsurprisingly, you are unfamiliar with the definition of Bankrupt as well. If you ever figure out a way to go bankrupt and still convince anyone to loan you $2 million dollars a minute, please let me know.
Right! So we are using the army to force a broad consortium of foreign and domestic buyers to invest in US Treasuries! They have absolutely no choice but to give us their money at a rate of $2 million dollars a minute. It is basically thievery! Put down the crack pipe bro.
Dude, the 'True' American dream that you are talking about been lost for a long time now.. 10 years ago the 'Great American Dream' was large cheese burger, a 500 horse Power Corvette, a house with a lawn (With a Mexican working in the lawn) and a happy family (with 1 or 2 love affairs, optionally). Right now the 'Great American Dream' is the large supply of weed, an excuse to not to find a work (Occupy a random street comes to rescue), living life off the welfare cheques and more kids than you can raise...
There's no trace of tens upon tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens who were simply living their life either. Wiped out, killed by invading forces. Their assets destroyed and remaining family members left grieving. You live in denial of reality. Show me the images of exuberant Iraqis cheering US forces as they left the country, women and men in tears of gratitude saying "Please don't go, you have been so good, you have saved us!" It's karma that US citizens now live under the sames rules as the worst dictatorship, their freedom constantly eroded and now subject to detention for "things they might do". Detention camps have been set up, the political system is failing with Rome burning while Congress plays the fiddle. Air travellers subjected to the most obnoxious searches. The authorities subjecting passive people to pepper spray. So many agencies protecting the freedom of its citizens I can't name them all CIA, FBI, National Guard, State Police, Town Police, FEMA, ICE. The largest debt ever and a unregulated financial system that bought the world to its knees. But never mind that, your thoughts are being directed to other things by government conditioning. Iran might do this, Pakistan might do that - we have to blast them - because they threaten our freedom. Enjoy being free.
@bobolord666: What, you didn't want to press the idea that we "lost" in Iraq anymore, preferring instead to talk about eroding domestic freedoms and war casualties? Shall we just take the topic change as an admission your claim was absurd, or shall we instead assume you are standing your ground on this idea of a loss in that conflict, confirming my assertion that you are unhinged? Which is it?
I have never said that you "lost" - more misreading, misinterpretation, misdirection. Once again, a challenge - show the world where I said that you "lost". Did you call me unhinged sometime in the past princess? Or is this just more misreading, misinterpretation, misdirection. Your entire post is a piece of nothingness built within the fantasy land of your basement from which you pretend to rule the world. And I stand by what I said.
Oops. That was your pal Political Traveler. Sometimes hard to tell the lunatics from each other. They all sound the same. I've got to remember: Bobolord: Guy who thinks the US should be held accountable for liberating Kuwait while giving every other dictatorship in the middle east a pass for slaughtering their own people. PoliticalTraveler: Guy who thinks we lost Iraq. Blah blah blah blah blah blah. Seriously pal, do you have anything to add to the conversation? Anything at all?
Oh dear Obamanation - another failed challenge. You quoted someone called PoliticalTraveller. Thought I might try your tactic of a personal attack and see if you would man up. Nup. Perhaps whenever I see you make a personal derogatory observation of other forum members I will join the conversation with "Seriously pal, do you have anything to add to the conversation? Anything at all?"
@bobolord: You crack me up man. You cut and paste a bunch of unlinked quotes from other threads to build an artificial conversation that ignores your posts expressing a desire for an oppressive dictatorship in iraq and distatest for the sanctions and iraq war casualties that resulted from Iraq's invasion of Kuwait and failure to comply with the terms of their surrender. What can I say. You seem to live in such a deep state of denial, bursting your bubble may actually be dangerous to your already fragile psyche. As I mentioned before, perhaps you can take solice in the fact your condition is quite common among those who share your political views. You are not alone man. /Hug
