Selling SamuraiSwords.org - 8 years old, premier domain name

For sale is SamuraiSwords.org, a premier domain name now 8 years old. Each article is unique and there are, I believe, 13 in total. Once ranked page 1 of Google, long neglected, low traffic, no monetization/earnings. Traffic stats screenshots can be seen below (AwStats).

- Reasonably low reserve (in the low hundreds).
- Auction ends in 7 days.
- Is currently registered through NameCheap.com.

After the auction is over, I would like to conduct transaction through ESCROW.com or similar service for buyer and seller protection, splitting the fees. I will not use PayPal for significant amounts.

nice domain name but with the recent google EMD update, i'm guessing it got hit or will get hit in the near future..

 

Hi tyankee. I stopped internet marketing altogether around 5 months ago so I'm not completely familiar with what the EMD update is. I do know I haven't done any work on this website (or any of my websites) for a long time and it hasn't been ranked anywhere for the main term for a long time either, last I checked. Google always seem to be changing things and making webmasters jump through hoops, and I simply decided around 5 months ago that as far as I was concened, enough was enough, and I was going to sell up so people who've got more drive than me can take the reins.

 

i know exactly what you mean.. ii'm about done with them also.. the EMD update penalized most exact match domains for the search term that is in their domain name.. so in your case it would be samurai sword.. so it would be very hard and sometimes impossible to get your site ranked for that keyword if previously you had gotten a lot of links with anchor text 'samurai swords'.. PM me what you think this is worth..
