If you are referring to having the same content on two sites, no this is not a problem.

Not a problem as such with adsense, but as for duplicate content you will be penalized for having the exact same content on both sites.

It is better to spin your article using an article spinner and use it on other site. As the original article belongs to you there won't be any problem of duplicate content.

Penalized by whom and for what? I put up 50 websites with exactly the same content to see if this was total nonsense. All the sites ranked in Google (interestingly, they ranked for different keywords), so myth busted (for me at least).

Hmmm... that is really interesting as the biggest issue we all facing is the duplicated contents. Google clearly mentioned that they will penalize sites with duplicated contents.

Ahhh, No they didn't. What they DID say was that if you put up a site with 1,000 pages (like a database driven site) with the same "template" article with nothing substituted but the city or state or occupation, etc., then your site WOULD be penalized for duplicate content on the SAME SITE. This was done to squash those 100,000+ page sites with basically one article and tons of word substitutions. Those worked in the old days for a bit as link farms, etc.

I think there is no problem when it comes to adsense but in search engine ranking there is.
