If someone have a com site and then he make co.uk website with same name and very similar content to .com website. Do you think this will cause a problem with google?

    Thanks, Ashu

There is no problem in doing this. But try to keep your content unique on both the sites.

That is the problem. The content is not unique as they are both offering for same services so the content is almost similar only the target market is different thats why he has creted new site co.uk.

Google definitely likes unique content. I would use css style sheets and alter text colours and sizes etc and also use different key phrases in your backlink text.

Try to make as unique content as you can. You have to spare some time on that part since it's very important.
Or, if you don't have any need for different content, then just make 301 redirect from one domain to another.

offtopic: @tedbaker, I see you are from Huddersfield. There is very popular movie in Serbia, named Huddersfield :)

    Thank for your replies..

    Please clear one more thing...

The content is similar but not exactly the same. Yesterday I was reading Google rules and they said if your product is different for 2 countries then you may be able to justify similar content. As far as I'm concerned it is valid- both have different pricing and products. It also makes it less confusing as I am not writing about dollars and pounds on the same page.
If this will be ok, or whether I should just put the 2 sites together again and then I focus on marketing .com in uk.
Also if I promoted .co.uk and it was forwarding onto .com would google think that the .com info was on .co.uk?

    Thanks in advance...

Yes this is a problem it comes under the content duplicity and Google will ban one of the two website.

Okay, making content unique is time taking work so I think instead of creating a .co.uk site I should target .com in uk.

Also if I forward .co.uk onto .com would google think that the .com info was on .co.uk? this may cause any problem???

    Thanks, Ashu
