Same keywords, multiple adgroups?

If I set up a campaign with 2 adgroups like this:

    adgroup 1:
    keywords:

    kw1
    kw2
    kw3

    adgroup 2:
    keywords:
    kw4
    kw5
    kw1

Both adgroups use the exact same ad. Is there any disadvantage to doing this? I am copying / pasting some keywords and some are ending up in multiple campaigns. Would it be smart to delete the duplicates (which would take a lot of time), or does it not matter?

    Thanks, Matt

By having the same keywords across different ad groups only one of them will show up, usually the best performing keyword of the bunch.

I would recommend removing the duplicates as it makes analysing the data that much harder when you have the same keyword across a number of ad groups.

Thanks! I had tried searching before posting but didn't find anything.
