Same keywords for 2 of my sites?

I have some sites that overlap a bit and have common keywords. If I have the same keywords on two different campaigns I believe Google will rotate them rather than have ads for both my sites in the same ad set.

An example would be if I had two widget sites and someone searched for widgets they'd see www.mywidgets.com or www.widgetforums.com in the ads but not both. Is that correct? Can I get it so both my campaigns are showing in the same ad sets?

As long as the ads are using/pointing to different urls.

That's not what I am seeing. I checked a keyword term that I have for two campaigns pointing to two different URL's and the search results only have 3 ads but only one of mine. There's plenty of room for both my ads but only one shows.

edit: I did some research on this and it appears that most of the time, this would fall under Google's double serving policy.

I forgot that due to special circumstances I was granted an exception to this policy for the sites I was thinking about when I responded to your initial question.

If you think you have ground for an exception, go ahead and ask. If not, you could always try opening a new account for your other site.
