OK, so here's the scenario... we're all busy linking to social media sites, and social bookmarking, submitting articles and pinging. Maybe you're writing Press Releases, posting up blog content or even making videos... ... and ALL of them link to your same IP address... isn't this a bit of a red flag for the big G?
I think it would only matter if you are doing a whooole lotta linking and really spammy type of linking for this to MAYBE matter. Natural linking ,press releases and blog commenting is just that....Natural and what I believe Google is actually looking for, especially from the same IP address. Just stay away from those super automated tools and you should be just fine.
I don't think same IP links considers as spammy. If so, most of the seo's must have to go with dedicated IP hosting services. But recently, bcoz of the overflow the backlinks, most of the webmasters considering only home page only links. If anybody thinks that many links from same IP harms to their site, they can go with the above method.
Its Google and other search engines that are setting these rules in the first place. That’s what they want us to do. Build a reputation by posting on other sites. Work your but off for a little bit of recognition by Google and that if they recognize you. I have about 20 back links for my site and Google only listed 1 while Yahoo picks them up about a day after I post them.
This is so confusing for me, I have read in a aritlce in which author says, google love backlinks comes from different ip, doesnt matter if its spammy. Spam comments come from the same ip on daily basis is a crime in google eyes.
You setting up 100 websites on the same IP and all them link to your site won't carry as much weight as links coming from different IP addresses.
