Like thsadmin said, it depends on which datacenter is serving your region at that point in time. I frequently find visitors my sites from the first SERPS page (i.e. top 10), but when *I* try to actually verify that my pages are in the top 10, I frequently find that they are acually in the top 20 or 30. And the opposite of this scenario also occurs frequently.

I use the google check tool to see different DC serps, plus I sometime do my own searches via proxy.
Did not see crazy differences between DCs anyway.
Probably is just a bad period.

Good for you lijgeo! I'm still out there in limbo waiting for my traffic to come back.

I'm glad to know at least someone is getting back on track!

I'm in Australia. My blogs have decent traffic, one had about 300 per day but is now 150. seems google does these things from time to time, but i haven't had such a drastic drop before. and the funny thing is - i'm still the same pr and search position!

Mine traffics is fine, but serp is not good enough. I'm targeting certain position on every keywords that my site has but most of it dropped! another thing, my site's traffics increase in awstat but on analytics huge discrepancy. In awstat I'm getting 1,500+ but in analytics only 700+!

    Who is true?

    Hi All.

Same thing here in New Zealand.

I have also noticed that many of my meta tags have disappeared when I do a site:websiteurl.com search... the result being that many of my sites have a page title and then just menu items eg. Home · About · Prices · Case Studies · FAQ - Tips · Our Clients Say · Programs · Contact.
for every page found by the where it used to say some whatever I had in the descriptiuon tag.

Of course the end results are that I have a site with say 200 pages and the only difference between the results is the title of the page. I have done a few keyword searches where I know what the result is, and has been for months, and the same menu as above shows in the results. This of course was the reason I put description meta tags in in the first place, until I found they were good for SEO.

This hasn't happened with a couple of sites like my blog, which has the first sentence of each blog entry, and sites which have very long description tags.

We have just rebuilt our main too websites, and I haven't had a chance to do the meta tags yet, and I can't post a url to show you what I mean, but check your websites and see if when you do a site: search in google to see what pages have been indexed, I'd be most interested to hear from anyone.

    Regards Lynn

same problem here. My serps are the same but I've lost a significant amount of traffic only from Google. The Yahoo traffic is the same. I hope it will be back soon.
