same domain name under another extension, how much benificial?

hi, suppose, there is an already exist domain that is very much popular and that is a .com/.org domain. If i register the same domain under .net , how much benefit will I receive? My site content will be similar to that .com/.org domain.

is that name is generic then no problem. otherwise you will be sued in udrp disputes

Maybe a little traffic but you'll have to better the .com to steal them away.
Did you search to see if they hold or filed for a trademark for the said domain?

 

I do not think it would be easy to beat an established site and that too the one which is on a .com tld. The benefits.. if any, would not be proportionate to the effort required to beat this established site!

you do whatever its just waste of time as the .com site gets benefits from your sites too. if you putting similar content with same domain of other ext they will surely look to take actions unless the name is generic
