Same Domain hosted in Different IP adress?

    Hello,

    We have a website "xyz.com", if this same website(domain) hosted in two different IP Address, then what is the effect on website as per SEO( Visitors,Content,Traffic.. etc) purpose?:confused:

    How will you have 1 website on 2 IP's? Subdomain?

    it is not possible 1 website on 2 IPs but if technology changes it could possible.

    You can have multiple IPs yeah? Different namservers can point to different servers yeah?
    or something like that... maybe :)

    IP tells about the location of your site. if you have IP from different countries then your site visibility increase in these countries.

    The effect on SEO is nothing - assuming you have the same sites running on each IP address and the load times are identical.

    To correct those that have incorrectly replied, you can setup more than 1 IP address. Since DNS works no 'round robin' each time someone tries to load your page, they will get each IP address served one after the other - so 50% of the time.

    This would be good for any important sites - i.e redundancy - but it is more common to serve the pages from a single IP at a fully redundant load balancer which is then responsible for pulling the information from more than 1 server - this is because in your way, if one of the websites is down then it will not work for half of your visitors.

    So, if you have the same website running on both IP's, there is no effect on SEO.
