Hi I have just one database left in my hosting plan...but I want to set up a new domain which will be a blog and a subdomain to it which will be a forum..Can I use the same database for both...And how to do that if it's possible without trouble...

    Thanks.

Yes ... most forums and blogs have theirs table name with a prefix in front ! For example smf forum have smf_ in front of each table ... So, normaly you can use the same database for both programs.

Lixe sacx13 said, there are prefixed. Another way - there are no prefixes for tables. Then create several databases - I think, hosting plan allow it.

I am allowed to creat only one database, that's why maybe I will need the prefixes...

JUs ue the prefixes, as long as you keep the prefixes different for the foum the blog, you should be fine also I don't see why there would be a problem with backing up :)
