same Content penalized by google

I have same content on my two websites of 12 pages except two pages but on different domain. And If i disallow the new website 10 except that are different pages using robot txt , would i get escape from the Google penalizing for the duplicate content.??

Or do we have any other method to escape from penalizing??

 

Not penalizaed but ignored. Maybe ignore the entire site if a big part of the content is duplicated.

Google will show the version he index first and ignore any other duplication he found in the net.

 

Do a 301 redirect from one site to the other and just run and manage 1 website - if they are nearly identicle this is probably much easier anyway

 

redirect might help, but when you have this kind of problem there is no perfect solution

 

what you should do to avoid any of this is flip the content..

 

are you sure? if so, that rocks because i'm concerned about my rankings since a lot of stealers copy content

 

Write fresh content everyday or weekly instead of duplicate content. New content will help your site land at the first page of google. That's my advice if you'll...

 

Look at sites like USAtoday and other news sites - often they just republish AP reports which would be considered duplicate content.

There's no real penality for duplicate content.
