Same C class IP Question

I have many sites on the same C class IP, It would seem that Google is aware of this and does not give me any SERPS or PR benefit from linking the sites together.

My question is, if I now move the sites to their own IP's and change the whois data so they are all different, will google change its outlook on my sites and start counting the Linking factors between the sites or will it remember they were from the same source and keep that information stored?

My main site is www.justgoodcars.com and an example other site is www.just911cars.com.

There are legitimate reasons for these sites to be linked and I am not trying to spam Google or Google Bomb Links to my site.

    Thanks
    Gary
