I am getting the same ad twice on a page in different ad units. This has happened few times. Any way to overcome it?

I doubt if that's true. Most likely it's two separate advertisers using the same copy.

Happens all the time and there is no way to overcome it. Strange that Google does not seem to do anything about it (unless it's counted as one impression only for that advertiser)

If you're getting the same ad twice on one page, it usually means you don't have your ads set up properly, as it's against the TOS, I believe, to have the same ads twice on one page...

how could you have ads set up improperly? give me an example. all you do is pasting the code generated by google. if something is not right with your code, the ads won't show up at all.

if you log out and browse DP as an unregistered user, you'll see the same bidvertiser ad image banners at the top right and after the first post

If they're loaded from an external file, for instance, instead of having the code inpage. For example, if you use adsense as a default from another ad network, and have ads in page as well, you get duplicate ads, or if you have an inpage ad, and also serve ads through phpadsnew and have adsense served through there, you'll get duplicates. I tried serving adsense through phpadsnew previously, and emailed google about the dup'd ads, and they told me the ads had to be inpage...

They are definitely the same ads. I checked by taking the mouse pointer to them..they both point to the same site.

Nothing wrong with my code . Its done in simplest HTML possible. Nothing like external files in my site.

I get A B C D ads in one ad unit and E F A G ads in second ad unit.(A getting repeated) I reduced the number of ad units to 2 from 3. I hope now they wont get repeated.

I've seen duplicates from time to time as well. Rare, but I am pretty sure I have seen it. I know I have seen dups in the Coop :)

I have been seeing this a lot lately with image ads, even on some of my sites.

i think there is no problem with the site. It might be a fault of serving ads or it's just a normal way how Adsense deliver their ads or anything which Google only knows it.
