Sales tax on template sales...

    Just curious if those who sell templates online are required to collect sales tax.

    Only to people you sell to within your state I believe.

    You would only be required to collect sales tax from people in your state, and then only if your state considers template design delivering a product as opposed to providing a service. In California you would check with the State Board of Equalization, in other states I'm not sure.
