Don't you mean the opposite? Most people do not track sales per unique visitor, but rather visitors per sale. The differences will be HUGE from 1:1 to 1:100000. Some people are good at getting TONS of visitors, some are good at getting very targeted visitors.
Its not uncommon for a good converting site to be around 1% or 2% conversion rate, but of course, it really does depend on the type of site, traffic, etc.
My site , with targeted traffic has average conversion rate of 1-1.5% , with product cost of around 30$.
Thanks out of phaze, if you don't mind saying, what types of products do you sell? Is your traffic PPC or free? Are you profitable based on ur PPC?
It is health related niche. My traffic is entirely from SEO optimization. My PPC campaigns went into 0 profit (I earned just about the same amount invested) , so I decided to give it a rest meanwhile.
A 1% conversion is usually considered good, I would consider 1% to be the minimum acceptable, if you are getting less then 1% there is something wrong with your process somewhere and you need to fix it. 1.5% is definitely good 2% is great And if you can get your sales page converting at 3% or better, get your hands on every penny you can in order to send as much traffic as you possibly can to that page, you just hit a home run Remember to test every aspect of your sales process continually, no matter how high your conversion rates are, you can make them better Increasing your conversion rate from 1% up to 2% will double your income so it is definitely worth the effort
