Hey everyone, I've written an entire book, poured hours and hours into it - put up a site, everything is functional. Except - the sales page is lame, I just whipped something up wasn't sure what to give away. Where can I get someone who can write a great sales page that won't charge $200 and have it take a week? I've private messaged people but they don't check their DP accounts very regularly which isn't the kind of person I'd want to hire in the first place. Thanks in advance
1. If you want a "great" sales page, you can generally expect that $200 would be a bargain price and not an upper limit. 2. This post doesn't belong in this area of the forum. Ads belong in the buy/sell/trade area only, and I don't believe you even meet the minimum requirements to post one. Be sure to read the rules before posting. Jenn
I think you need to analyze the genuine value of a powerful sales letter. If good copy increases your conversion rate by just 1% that can make a HUGE difference to your overall profits. If you're selling a product for $50 and you sell just 2 extra a week that's over $5,000 turnover a year. A higher conversion rate increases your nett profits, the price you can bid for in pay-per-click campaigns and makes it more profitable for list owners to do joint ventures promoting your products. In a recent survey the average online copywriter is charging US$2,500 to $3,500 for a short online sales letter with a large group of copywriters charging in the $5,000 to $10,000 range. Leading copywriters are charging $10,000 to $15,000 for a long online sales letter plus 2.5% to 5% royalty. To hire an exceptional copywriter for long sales copy you're usually better off if you budget in the $2,500 to $5,000+ category and expect to pay a small percentage of turnover as a royalty as well. Why? Because there's a HUGE difference in the quality of copy you'll get. First if you find a skilled copywriter in your niche they're worth the extra few thousand dollars you'll pay. And while it may seem like you're losing out by paying a royalty the reverse is actually true. A good online copywriter will give you ongoing suggestions for headline changes and copy changes to split test to improve your conversions. Kindest regards, Andrew Cavanagh
Outstanding Andrew, its not what you pay, its what you get for what you pay. Nice web site BTW. I tend more towards tech than techniques, hold over from being a programmer for so many years the reality is you need both and you are helping to define how a few skills in the 'social engineering' field can be at least as valuable as software engineering.
"This attitude of "don't spend money" is not a good one to run a business. Legitimate businesses spend money. Marketing is part of business, and you will of course be beaten to a pulp by your more business-oriented competition who know that spending money is all good." (c) John Scott - CEO, V7 Inc
What do you mean by "sales page"??? Is it the landing page? Is it the homepage? Is it an advertisment going out??? And, yeah, in most cases $200 is way too much. Show what you have done so far, and maybe it can be put together for you here.
Howdy there mate! I'll only charge 30 bucks and... 150$ per percent of conversion ratio, if the conversion ratio is equal or passes the 1% mark. What have you got to lose? Drop me a PM if you're interested. Regards, George
Contentious threads number 1 category 51 or perhaps areas around or in the mind 000 ccc etc $200 (a number lot LOL) What That's very little !!!! Expert gifted results produced by expert Wordsmiths/Copywriters like other artists are very obviously worth very much more
Andrew is right. Sales letters are big. If you go to clickbank.com, there are tons of them. And $200 won't even get you a bullet point list. A sales letter is well positioned to a target market and has a particular organization of copy that leads the target audience through a process. It's not randomly slapped on the page. It requires a specifically choreographed outline of emotional events that lead the target market to a call to action. If you don't like a sales letter and it happens to be a good example of one, you're not the target audience. And they do work. Sales letter writers know specifically which elements work and which ones don't.
