Hi Everyone, I'm new here and just discovered the clickbank section. I've got a question I've been drumming around for a few days. The sales page. YOUR SALES PITCH HERE H1 HEADLINE ONE MOST IMPORTANT KEYWORD HEADLINE H2 ...etc, etc We've all seen them Are these style of pages getting burned out? Are viewers just clicking out of them because they are so templated? I still see almost every product on sale at clickbank using this type of format. I started a new product in just a traditional type of website format with lots of content pages, etc. Don't know how it will work. And I'm all for if it ain't broke don't fix it. Just wondering what the experience out there was. Thanks, Steve
Affiliates usually tell you that they work and that they produce awesome results, well maybe, it's proven, but this doesn't mean that they can't be improved or that publishers can't try other styles or layouts, i think a more professional design with a persuasive sales letter could achieve great results, I'm not very comfortable promoting these ugly sites but they produce results and there's not a lot of options to choose from since almost all the CB products use them. Cheers!
it also depends what kind of traffic you are getting i think ... if organic, you are better to have original looking pages ... if ppc, sales letters may work ... the main issue with sales letters i think is that too many people just copy them blindly, rather than making their own original version
I think most publishers go through this thing where they think "this salesletter thing is played out, shouldn't I try it another way?" I know I did. But I found out what you're sure to find out: No. You shouldn't. There's a reason why everyone uses salesletters. They convert far better than other layouts.
The work and I feel they will always work. Why? Well because they convert the best. In order to convince a customer sales pages are required. It's pretty much like TV advertising. No matter how much you might hate commercial ads in between TV shows they will still continue to show because they still work.
They convert like hot chicken with barbecue sauce. Slim layout, no distractions, ads. Force the user to read down. Its like the child catcher from chitty chitty bang bang drawing in the kids....
Appreciate the comments. I'm going to layout the sales page and take you up on your advice. I did like the comment about ppc/landing page campaigns. I can see where the sales page converts in that arena. Thanks.
Its human nature to question the norm. They do work but that is no reason to not consider trying different approaches. If you spent the time and managed to come up with something better you my friend could be rewarded greatly.
