Hi Guys. I am trying to set up a sales page on my website www.hostwithus.co.nz advertising a special I am running at the moment, $300 (NZ$) wordpress based websites for small to medium sized business. I really don't know where to start so it would be awesome if you guys could take a look www.hostwithus.co.nz/services.php and give me a bit of guidence. I am going to put a contact form at the bottom of the page to generate the leads. Cheers, Jared.
For one, I think your headings should be more prominent, especially the top one in red. You could also add a graphic in each subsection to make it less dull, and generate some excitement. I guess this is a new business, but experienced marketers swear by testimonials - maybe you should start with a huge discount for a few people in exchange for testimonials you could use.
Yeah the copywriting needs work. But to be honest I haven't seen a "sales page" for webhosting... This is a wordpress package? Yeah for a sales page, focus on benefits not features. Example people don't want "Search Engine Friendly" they want "Loads of New Customers"
Great advice simple but true. Headline... solid, killer, outta this world testimonials make GREAT HEADLINES! If you got a customers who's nuts about your service write up a testimonial for them if needed based on what they've told you...send it to them for approval and post it as your headline. People can be very busy...again.. use info maybe they've already told you but have not put in writing. I'm not saying to lie or make anything up just WRITE IT UP and have them approve it. I'm not sure who your target is..newbie biz owners or ? BUT I do know that most biz or newbies will NOT know or understand what "Content Management Systems" is so... DUMMY IT UP...break it down make it easy to understand as that sounds very technical despite your statement of "which makes updating your website a breeze." There are many CMS so give YOURS or YOUR SERVICE of developing this it's OWN NAME. Instead of CMS something like... Using our revolutionary "Insta Biz Blitz" auto site creator you'll soon see buying customers arriving at your site in no time at all even if you're a techno phobe or have never had a website before. Hosting is all over the place so I suggest you SELL THE SIZZLE just remember to be credible. Jim
I wish I could afford to hire one, however at the moment I am a bit strapped for cash. Feel free to refer me to someone that you think is good - it never hurts to look. Thanks for all the advice guys Cheers, Jared.
There's a directory of copywriters: http://directory.freelancewebcopywriter.com. You might find someone there. I'd go with a one-column sales letter offering a white paper of some sort and use the list you build to market your services to. Hope that's helpful.
