Has anyone had good success with advertising in off line newspapers? Google Prints also count. Reason I ask is because I am doing successful online, but I want to take it to the next level. I know it costs more, but if I am making profit thats all that matters.
eroker - yes.. I ran a $30 ad for "reverse phone lookup" in the local classifieds section of our newspaper, and had about 15 sales from it. My advice is to use a very short and memorable domain to mask your hoplink, so if people see your url in the paper, they can remember it when they get back to their computer.
Here is a description of similar experiment: http://clickbanksuccessforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=41066 Sounds like the guy had some success with it.
Ok , what I was thinking was printing a 1000 fliers of pretty much a landing page of my product. I have my own masked domain so I'm good there . But if I went subdivision to subdivision putting my product on the side of the mailbox. NOT INSIDE THE MAILBOX...I know its a felony... has anyone had experience with mailbox advertising (outside the box, on the flag or w/e) PS thanks karabas, good source
eroker I had that idea in my mind as well, but haven't tried it so far Don't know, if it's going to work or not...
Have you done more of this kind of advertising? With those kind of results I'd be doing more. I've only tried newspaper ads once and didn't have any success with it, so I'm a bit reluctant to try it again, but... that sort of ROI (15 sales for $30) makes me think maybe it's worth another shot
The problem with the mailbox idea is that it isn't targeted at all try targeting your audience and you will have higher success. Like maybe handing out truth about abs at the local gym or something along those lines. I wouldn't recommend giving it to random people.
