hey everyone, I can understand all the economical crisis and all that, which is affecting the US, europe and some other parts of the world. Still it`s kinda hard to believe sales are so slow these days, yet pretty true and disappointing. I have products converting in 500 hops and even more. CB products that used to convert in 50 - 100 hops guaranteed. Has anybody issued such high fluctuations in the past 2 weeks. For the PPC users is dramatic
Take a look from post 282 on down and tell us if this jives with any of your indicators: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1091442&page=15
The answer is in the basics of "Digital Product Affiliate marketing". Let me explain how things work; People search on internet to find free information on related issues(exclude software products) , we affiliates presell information to visitor, this generate a sale.. Now if world economy is in such a bad shape, But still people are not going to stop surfing and we affiliate will generate hops, Now the point is do visitors have money to buy? or are they ready to invest money in information product, The answer is no! Some people (including me) had pointed finger to CB. But the fact is different Its only Economy Economy Economy.
Is the bad economy the only reason for fewer sales ? I am aware that some of the products I promote are in difficult niches, but since I have been getting conversions 1 in 100 hops this is a big change --> 1 in 500 hops. @rikat thanks a lot ! I`ve read the entire thread, very informative, still clickbank is the only one to clarify this issue..for most of us. I might even change networks and go for CJ or pepperjam..not yet
I had member to almost 5 affiliate network including CJ,CB, linkshare etc. Through out all networks my earning had dropped.. You just visit some CJ or Linkshare forums all of them have similar threads like yours.
I also think that this is because it's December and people are saving money for christmas gifts etc. I bet it will pick up in January maybe not entirely but still will be better...
Dog_24, sure thing people save money for presents and stuff. I`ve done a quick research, most networks are affected in this period more or less, also the financial crisis. Hopefully things will straighten back soon.
