Sales conversion rates for PPC traffic

Are there any published figures for the average sales conversion rates for PPC traffic. I know it will vary between industries but wondered if there were any published figures.

To clarify, I'm not talking about converted visitors from PPC traffic, I'm talking sales only as a % of total PPC visits.

Okay, if there aren't any published figures, would anyone like to share their experiences of sales conversions rates ?

Don't have to name sites, just some numbers would be good.

No offense, but every product, site and campaign will have vastly different numbers.

There is no standard percentage. Someone would have to basically be doing exactly what you want to do for the number to have any meaning. And if they were, then your value would be less because they are already doing it.

Telling you sales conversion numbers is simply of no help. You could do 50% conversions or .01% conversions and make money with both, and potentially make more money with the .01% conversions. Simply too many factors for any of that to be useful to you.

The best way to learn is to expirement.

I have to agree with the above post, another thing with PPC is the actually service you are using. A lot of the smaller services buy traffic from anybody which results in very poor quality and therefore play's with the percentage of sales.

One thing you can look at is the top 5 cost per click for the keywords you are buying. You can hopefully assume that a few of these sites are making money from people clicking on them. You can then figure out based on your commission how many clicks you can handle before you start losing money. Of course your costs are not the same as these advertisers since they probably have better commission percentages, etc... and can probably out bid you anyways.

Everybody knows that it is different upon the products, but simply you can say something like what I am gonna say :
Leather apparel online store conversion rate 1% of PPC traffic (Adwords) the range of the products price $10-$200
