My sales have been pretty good this month: a little better than last month & quite a bit better than the month before.

I would not attribute lower sales numbers directly to one hurricane. Actually, if you are a contractor or sell materials needed to help repair the affected areas, sales are up. Lower sales and traffic could be due to many events that equate to lowered consumer confidence and a bleaker outlook by the individual.

Higher gas prices, quality job loss, expected higher fuel costs, expected raise in taxes to cover the massive spending by government, terrorism and so forth.

When consumers are "happy" they buy. When consumers are "so-so" they kind of buy. When consumers are "sad" they rarely buy anything that is not a neccessity.

    Lynn Terry,

Is there any reason why your "Think & Grow Rich" link goes to M$oft's website?

No problem. I clicked it to check out if it was in fact the book. I read that book when I was in High School and it was a great read. I began planning businesses and playing the stock market in high school. This was one of the books in my arsenal at the time.

Oh - well, yes it is the book. A free download in PDF format, too - doesnt even require an email address: download

A personal favorite of mine as well! ;)
