I sell this site for a friend. They wanted to establish the e-wallet YouTeller (something like paypal, moneybookers or neteller) for the US online gambling market. They tried to enter this market one year ago when NETeller (200.000.000$ revenue/year) was closed for US citizens.

    http://www.youteller.com

    The story:
After a massive media hype and a lot of confusion (journalists that reported Youteller has no FSA certification, the owners of Youteller equals the Neteller owners...) finally NETeller sent their lawyers to stop Youteller because of trademark infringement. NETeller said that YouTeller's name and business concept are to close to their's and they would take legal action in every country where YouTeller makes business.

Restriction: This E-Wallet is not recommended for the gambling market because of possible legal problems with competitor NETeller.

    the whole story about youteller:

I dont get it, so neteller wont let you run the site because its too close to their name?
Could I see a admin panel screenshot and a demo login?
    Thanks,
    Marc

    pms sent.

    some notes:

you can not run a company exactly like paypal as they are regulated like a bank (you'll need about 10.000.000$ for a bank licence...), there are some limitations:
-> e-money issued to consumers is subject to a storage amount of €150 (230$) and the total e-money issued is limited to €5m(7,5m$)

    - you have to communicate in the proper way with the FSA to be allowed to issue e-money
    - no yearly fees, only legal know how and communication is required
    - you need to have a UK company (low costs)

example companies that are certified, are:
    Orange Home UK Plc
    Nochex Ltd
    Earthport Plc
Seed Capital Ltd. -> our company

I'm waiting for the first BIDs here for package three. I'm sure i have to sell it for a low price but i can't sell it under 500-1000$. so only serious bidders for package 3 please.

the story link doesn't work, do you have a copy of it?

also is this site essentially for accounts in the UK? how would this work if this was to move to the US? Would I also encounter NetTeller issues?

    try this one please: http://www.gpwa.org/forum/youteller-169364.html

it's certified by the British FSA, so you should focus on UK customers.

take a look at https://www.pppay.com/new_user_join.php - they are also certified as "Small E-Money Issuer" in the UK and accept customers from 14 EU countries to register an account.

if it's not gambling (casino, poker, bets), they won't care because they target the gambling market only.

yes, you can be director of a uk company if you are from india. you will need a virtual office and a company secretary for about 100-200$ a year. it is legal to run an e-wallet if you are certified with the FSA in the UK.

is the 150 euro limit imposed by the FSA or by you? Also can a US citizen run the company as a virtual director?

How much in penalties does it owe the FSA and why was it imposed? Also, you associated a legit business with warez and dvd rip's? why would you do that. See link at the footer of the site. Also you say on the page that "Youteller is a Trademark of Seed Capital Ltd." is it a registered trademark or just you putting on the website? Lastly you put © 2007 Seed Capital Ltd. Is it really registered under Seed Capital Ltd or did you just put that on there. If it is really a registered copyright then how much for the copyright to be transfered, along with the trademark. The new owner will have to face a legal battle with NetTeller?
