I'd be interested in what's your opinion on SAFE lists. Do they work for you? And what's your favorite (and maybe free?) ?

    Thanks a lot. Marian

Can you explain what one is for those of us that either don't know or don't have them?

Safelists are optin email lists that you can subscribe to .You are usally allowed to post your own message to all members in return for reading theirs.

In alot of cases this is just orginaized (or unorginized) spam, but some lists are good. I have had fair success with them.

    Hal

This actually sounds like something I'd also be interested in hearing more about from someone with experience.

I guess I don't see the point. Does this mean if I agree to read all those Viagra Spam mails, I can send my own

I'm struggling to find a non-Spam use for this.

Yes, so called "Safelists" do work. I'd recommend the paid version. It filters out the freebie seekers and you can be sure only to mail people who are "serious" about the biz....
But it's getting more and more ineffevtive because of automatic inbox cleaning, bigger junktype email addys.... but it's worth a try ig you have some $$ left over ...lol

If you are not willing to pay a small fee to gain safelist access, you might be not dedicated enough to your work. Safelist submitting is mainly a direct marketing tool. If you look over a couple of ads you'll notice that everything is about "secret marketing tricks ebookXXL" and "get cheap qualified leads for your mlm biz". So if you're into the whole affiliate/mlm thing, paid safelists is the way to go because you're only interested in "pre qualified leads". Mailing to 2000 freebie seekers is just not worth the trouble.

Maybe it would be an interesting experiement to try marketing content based sites....

Izo is right, you’re better off with the paid ones. Some are pretty cheap and still work good. I have a membership with proadmanager.com and its only $5 per month and already generated a few good sales. Safe lists are not the all and end all but they do work well as a supplement to most peoples standard marketing activities.

That hits the nail on its head. You can't expect them to do magic, but they do pull a few sales if you know how to do them right. You need to keep submitting every day. Persistance is the keyterm here.
