I was using KeywordRadar for a while to do my keyword tracking. The software also has a feature that will create a redirect from your page to the affiliate sales page. Now, I NEVER use redirects directly from my landing page. However, I usually have links to a redirect page on my landing page. When I was using KeywordRadar, they had custom java code that talked to their servers and did kind of a backend redirect for you instead of the html redirect code that Google seems to hate. I think this may have protected my quality score a bit but I may be mistaken. Anyway. Today I saw that Keyword Radar has a parked domain all of a sudden. It may only be temporary, but it stopped my redirects from working and as a result I made no sales today. I want to get away from depending on a third party to do redirections. Is it safe to use the HTML redirection code on a web page that my landing page links to? Will my quality score take a big hit? How do you guys do redirections to your sales pages? Keep in mind, I do have content filled Landing pages. I basically have a link at the bottom of my landing page that goes to the "redirected page". I'm choosing to use redirection because I want the domain name to appear the same to the customer. Thanks, Jay
Never never never run your keywords through a third party tracking script that is not on your own server. That's like giving away your keywords and profitable campaigns to a stranger. VERY risky move, I'd never do it. They probably collected enough data and keywords for great campaigns that they shut down and are just running them on their own now...
