The safest for you is to get the domain first and then pay later.

Usually you pay first before you get what you want. I've heard too many stories of people designing something for someone. Then they give them the design first before payment and never recieve one cent. You should ask him to pay before you give them the product.

to be honest, i buy my domains using Credit card because that is the best way to buy it as if anything goes wrong then you can always bring your money back by Chargeback.... so i will suggest you buy it using your Credit card so that you can file a chargeback...

Tell the person to transfer Domain to your account or buy direct with a ICANN accredited registrar and pay them

Problem is that he is a reputable member on ebay so he thinks that he should get paid first. Maybe he will go for 50% now 50% after.

Yes godaddy.com is the best and Yahoo is the worst ( to me) . They took too much charge for domains. Such a money su**er they are

Well you cant really decide how a seller should sell their domain name, its up to them really.

Trading and business is all about trust.

Basically would you give your money to someone you dont trust? I dont think so.

Ask for the payment in e-gold and ask them to send the payment first. E-gold has a no refund policy so they can't chargeback.
