Safe period for PayPal Charge back?

    Hi,

I've heard a lot about PayPal buyers later claiming a charge back and sellers not being to do anything when it comes to electronic items.

Is there like a safe time period after which they can't ask for a charge back, like I could tell the buyer that I'll only transfer them the domain after 24 hours of the payment or something?

    Thanks,

i think that chargeback period is 45days... not 60days... if i am wrong please make it correct... but its long since its 45days only to issue refund or get claim a chargeback...

Chargeback has nothing to do with Paypal and it is an option available offered by the bank to the credit card customers who have been played out by the merchant/seller or had their credit card stolen. The typical timeframe a person can raise a chargeback is 180 days from the time of the transaction date.

a chargeback can be made even after one year but only under special conditions.... because something bills dont get in time and so the person may not get the bill on the same month when the money was spent.... this is why credit card company allow its customer to file chargeback even after several months under special conditions like they dont get there bills more often etc.etc... chargeback rules are made by the credit card company....

It's the other way around. Electronic products are not enforceable. They can't charge back something to do with intellectual property in digital products. They can try, but paypal doesn't allow it. That's as far as I know, but I am only going by what I've read.

Now, chargebacks on physical products are another story.

You could try another payment processor like e-gold, they don't allow chargebacks but getting money out of your e-gold account is a pain since you have to go through exchangers.

egold is not the best pick.... i will really suggest to go for moneybookers or check my signature link to know the chargeback protected payment systems.... moneybookers dont allow reversal and chargebacks... and easy to withdraw money...
