Hello guys. You have all probably hears the rumors that some domain providers such as godaddy uses some kind of script which automatically registers free and interesting domains if you make a query on their site and don't register it quick enough. So firstly, I would like some thoughts on this - is this real? As said, all I heard were rumors. Well the other thing is: Is there any domain supplier who we can trust? Or is it more like a lottery
mmmm - I think GoDaddy is pretty safe to use. Of course it's hard not to be paranoid about this - but generally speaking, there are so many people searching domains at GoDaddy every day. If you come across one that you think you might use, you'd better register it right away, rather than sitting and thinking about it for a few weeks - because if it really IS good, then it would probably be gone
When I first started out buying domains a few years ago, I used Network Solutions to search for multiple domains at a time - little did I know all my great ideas were stolen from me because NS holds them for a week, so you can buy exclusively from them at their high prices, and then they drop them to domain squatters who pick them up after the drop. I don't think GoDaddy does them anymore, but if u find a great name, then buy it immediately.
