Saddam Hussein's half-brother and the chief judge under his Baath Party regime followed him to the gallows early Monday, hanged for their roles in the killings of 148 men and boys after a 1982 assassination attempt, a defense lawyer said.

Both men were hanged at 5-00am Monday Morning in Baghdad

Time will tell if the mobile phone cam's etc etc were at the scene

First reports indicate it was dignified process

We shall have to wait and see what further news is released to ensure whether it was dignified or not

Officials stressed this time there had been "no violations", but Saddam Hussein's half-brother, Barzan al-Tikriti, was decapitated as he hung.
A spokesman said the decapitation of Barzan was not abnormal, although it was rare, and described it as "an act of God".

Two codefendants of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein were hanged before dawn today in a grisly execution that apparently tore the head off one defendant, an Iraqi government spokesman said.
