Unions have way outlived there necessity...besides, explain this to me.

Unions promise higher wages to workers who join.
Workers who join then have to pay dues.
Union bosses get rich.
Workers make less than without being a member of a union.

How does that make sense?

That is patently untrue. Compare the take home wages of unionized v. non-unionized heavy industry workers (say, the auto industry), and tell me what you find.

Beyond, how many union members do you know? Have you asked them how they feel about their union, or whether they feel the union benefits them or not? Surely, as an average worker paying more into union dues than the marginal increase in wages from a union regime, I'd be one mighty pissed off union member.
