My prayers go out to your mom and the other lady for a rapid speedy recovery..sorry this happen to your mom and your family..God Bless You!!!!
Thank you for the kind wishes. It's still going to be 12 hours or more before I learn anything new. I will post an update when I can. My sister did speak briefly to our mom, but she is all drugged up and not feeling much. From what I know she has numerous broken bones, but they heal. She is to undergo surgery shortly for internal bleeding which is the major concern. Thanks again, Roman

And I want to thank Him for All the Joy in our lives today and I want to thank Him for the Victory in this situation with your family Thank You Father .. I will believe for you if you cannot right now friend
Thank you, I truly believe positive energy can make a difference in this world and I thank everyone for providing it.
Damn ... that's terrible Roman. I was bummed that Google Translate doesn't have Czech yet so I could read the article - what an awful accident. Please keep us posted.
Thanks, I looked for a translator as well and could not find one, but got the jist of it through my limited reading capability. My wife did translate it for me, but it did not say much. In fact it seemed to downplay the situation. Hopefully I will learn more soon and will post an update when I can. Roman
Sorry to hear that. From what I read in the article a heavy roller shade (can be seen in the picture) fell down on them and now they're undergoing surgeries which will last a couple of hours. The article says they were lucky they didn't get killed. I didn't understand every word because I don't speak Czech but I can read, speak and understand Polish which is very similar. I hope both of the ladies will fully recover soon.
Thanks for the translation, my Czech is not so good and that's what I made out too. In the article it says it weighed tens of kilos, but from what my dad says it was closer to 1000 pounds. Aparantly it took a long time to lift it due to it's heavy weight so tens on kilos seems off a bit. It seems it was one of those rolling security doors, this one was made of iron, that was installed 3 days ago, not properly, and fell of it's mounting. My mom was standing outside waiting for my dad, they were shopping to furnish the appartment they bought. We were in Prague last April for my sisters wedding and my dad had a big car accident then so this sucks even more. On the positive side my grandmother who lives in Stenberk just celebrated her 95th birthday and is going strong. I am looking forward to her centenial bash.
