i just got a email specifying that

Sachin birthday is '"Worlds Cricket Day"

The ICC announced itseems

is it true ?

I dont think so no doubt he is great but you should look at other teams too , in other teams they give chance more to youngsters too. If you perform bad they can remove even captain. But in India if you play bad but have played good in few matches they will keep you forever.
