Hi I'm new to this forum. I'm planning to start a price comparison website in South Africa but the problem is that I can only afford $100 x month Hosting plan and with this amount South African hosting companies can only offer me a 20Gb x month plan. My website will initially have more that 2000 stores hat could become many more in a few months. I will be importing all the product information from the stores daily plus I will import datafeeds from companies such as CJ etc.. I really don't have any Idea of how much bandwidth I will need but I'm shure it will be more that the provided 20GB. For this reason I have thought of using a European hosting plan. What do you think is best, shared, VPN or dedicated (you can see them here in italian http://www.seeweb.it/ ) ? Do you have a rough idea of the needed bandwidth? What do you think about using a European hosting plan (I'm worried about the latency) and which european country could give me less latency (I would prefer an Italian one since it's my country of residence)? What advice could you give me ? Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it. Ciao Bernardo
Don't worry about latency - local host provider can be much worse than good provider based at the other end of the world
Thx, Is there some sort of calculation I can do in order to better understand the latency, or is there a website that gives info. related to this. I mean, how can I find an example of latency? Thnak you
