    As the population increases we build into habitats that wildlife are prevelant.Soon it will get to the point where dangerous predators have no place to go.Unfortunatly these types of tragic events will then become more common.

    What is there not to believe?
    I find it odd that the humans have made it this far.

    Bears aren't scared by camo overalls.

    that's sad to hear.

    I completely agree with spoiltdiva. In my country, an elephant and her calf had entered into the city from the forests and killed a cow and a man

    @Kerosene
    You're from "down under",you've got all kinds of wildlife there.I imagine you spend your days dodging kangaroos,tripping over platyapus's,rescuing stranded koala bears from trees,running from Tasmanian devils etc. One wonders how you've been able to survive thus far ha*ha!:)
    (I'm only joking,I realize that you live in Melbourne and probably don't see that much wildlife)

    Not a thing we hear every day, but going in the woods without having a gun is a suicide.

    So, the bears was obviously robbed from their habitat, starving and had nowhere to go because of humans.
    The bears attacked them, probably because the mother feared the lives of her cubs.
    And all of a sudden the bears are the bad guys here that has to be hunted down and killed?

    Don't get me wrong, what happent to those people was horrible and I wouldn't want anything like that happening to
    someone I know etc. But you can't really blame the bears for this. They are hunters and if you threaten them they will respond to it.

    I feel sorry for the mother, for this tragedy, and for the horrors that she has gone true....................BUT there are lots of things that we humans have done to the animal kingdom. If a men save a girl from a lion and kill the lion he is a hero. If someone gets eated buy an animal is just the way of nature aniways my point is that either way it is a tragedy......
