Russia makes 1st nuke shipment to Iran

Russia has made its first shipment of nuclear fuel to Iran's Bushehr plant, which is at the center of the international tensions over Tehran's nuclear program, the Foreign Ministry said Monday.

Iran contends the nuclear power plant operation in Bushehr is strictly for civilian purposes, but many critics suspect Tehran intends to use the plant as part of an alleged effort to develop nuclear weapons.

nukes can be used as not only a weapon. However, I guess if US wanted to, it could attack Iran even if Russia shipped an AK 47.

Oh please, everyone knows that a LOT, so whats your point? Like you are saint and not at the 1st place when it comes to selling weapons, Russia is waaaaay behind US on that matter (selling double less).

Russia always had good relations with Iran and was building that thing for ages. Just because US doesnt like Iran, doesnt mean that we shall stop our relations, we are big enough to have our own brain instead of listening to someone.

This fuel has nothing to do and cannot be used as a weapon. Russia shipping this fuel prevents Iran to make their own (one of the conditions to ship it at first ) ;)
This way russians really screwed both Ahmadinejad and Bush :D

Anyone knows why is this so ? :p

The sanctions are already initiated by US against our military export company RosOboronExport. As we see, it doesnt help.

screwed Ahmadinejad ? You mean he cannot produce it himself now ?:) Im not sure if theres anything more apart from money deals behind that.

screwed is a strong word but I read today in local media that delivery from russia was conditioned by Iran not making it itself. How long will this be they didn't say :D

I think its not about who produce it. Its about who can produce it :)

I doubt that can do it alone. Otherwise, Iran would have built Bushehr on their own. Thats what US doesnt want to admit, they think he can do it on his own.

If they could do it on their own why give Russia a billion or so dollars to build it for them.

thats what Im saying, Iran is not capable to have nukes in near future.

However, Im not sure if Russia wants Iran to have them or not. US do not believe both of them (Iran & Russia), thats where the tense is.
