The only country making new nukes is Russia, as far as I know. And they are making ICBMs. I believe the US explored the idea of tactical nukes but that was dropped.

You are funny, US has more nukes than Russia, did you know that ?

Who the f**k US to tell what to do?? When they have more nukes themselves. Russia's making new once, better once and I am proud of it.

I think with the breakup of the USSR, it'll be hard to get an exact count on missiles over there - I doubt even Russia knows how many they have anymore. I'm not sure how many were based on the break off republics. I've always understand that, at least since 1980, Russia far surpassed our nuclear missile count.

Thats not true, I believe US has more nuclear weapons, just to lazy to search now this forum. I've heard on TV as well, from our top army men, that slightly US has more.

Anyways, even if it's equal , noone is dying from it. It's like saying : "Hey, you've got more tanks than our army, let's fight then". wtf. Moreover, everyone knows that there wont be a real war, so I dont understand these stupid ppl that are on top there. If you hate someone - you are welcome to have a war with them, if not - then don't play like a p**sy under "democratic" and such slogans. I never liked ppl that can't say it to the face.

I'd expect that comment. Let me just say that I have no problem with Russia. Hey, I'd love if they were our passionate allies because that would mean that a world superpower is not aiming anything at me. Now, here is where my next comment comes in. If you have ever seen the movie Lord of War, you'll understand why I say this. When the Berlin Wall ended and the cold war was over, there were a lot of disgruntled Red Army generals who had no pay because there was no boss. So, they sold a hell of a lot of Kalashnikova 47s to different arms dealers. They sold them tanks and attack choppers and planes. The ONLY reason why I say that no new nukes should be made is...What's to say that one of these disgruntled Generals didn't sell nuclear warheads? Like I said, I have no issues with Russia. But creating NEW weapons of mass destruction is not the right way to go, whether you're America, Russia or timbucktoo.

I agree, both US and Russia are making, so they both aren't "good".

As far as I know, America isn't making any new ones. And unless you can show me otherwise, I am not going to agree with that comment.

    * Belarus had 81 single warhead missiles stationed in their territory after the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. They were all transferred to Russia by 1996. Belarus signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

    * Kazakhstan inherited 1,400 nuclear weapons from the Soviet Union, and transferred them all to Russia by 1995. Kazakhstan has signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

    * Ukraine inherited about 5,000 nuclear weapons when it became independent from the USSR in 1991, making its nuclear arsenal the third-largest in the world. By 1996, Ukraine had voluntarily disposed of all nuclear weapons within its territory, transferring them to Russia.

It's in russian, but what it says, that US multibillion campaign of making new space stealth stations, that would watch like KGB, Mi-6 , etc. from space is closed by Michael McConnell.

Isn't that a new step in army tactics? Surely, it is.
