Anyone surprised by Russia sending warships to Australia as a show of muscle after being censured for the involvement in the Ukraine-Malaysia Airlines disaster?
No, not surprised at all. He and other strongman dictators are likely to get bolder and bolder in the months ahead.
I guess it's Putin's way of telling Abbott to kick bricks. It's not surprising, Putin has a fragile ego.
cold war restarts. Russia is doing the same things as USA, nothing out of this world. The only thing is that Russia is not USA and not USSR. Putin might sink with his ambitions.
This is Putin's way to spread his messages all across the NATO/Western alliances, so it's just Australia's turn. The message is: "The Bear is still alive and kicking"
Anyone feeling a little stupid here? Russia sends ships anywhere it sends Putin. He was coming for the G20 and our media needed to whip up some hysteria. Looks like it worked on some. Laughable really.
There is no difference between USA and Russia. Russia sends forces to Australia and the USA sends their troops to Middle East.
So long as you leave out free and fair elections, term limits, invading and annexing your neighbors, then yeah, no difference.
